Coming Soon to VESTA ....
Here's your chance to demo the new Exit Destination Helper we are working on for VESTA. It is under construction, and your feedback is welcome. Once deployed -- it will be added to the Exit Wizard to allow you to "look up" a housing destination that your client went to and once you select the correct destination it will automatically enter the correct information into the exit fields on VESTA.

What is HMIS?
The Homeless Management Information System is a community-wide
information system for agencies providing housing and services to
homeless people through the City of Cincinnati/Hamilton County Continuum
of Care.
A unified data collection system benefits homeless clients,
service providers and the community. A community-wide
data system and an unduplicated count by 2004 is required in order
to receive HUD funding for homeless services.
For homeless clients
- Eliminates redundant intake and screening
- Coordinates case management
- Provides strategic referrals
- Strengthens the network of service agencies.
For service providers
- Monitors service utilization and client outcomes
- Coordinates services across multiple programs
- Simplifies demographics, service counts and reporting.
For the community
- Data reveals high demand service areas and service gaps
- Clarifies local understanding about homelessness
- Informs decision makers and public policy.
