  VESTA system requirements
 

Hardware

  • 1 ghz (gigagertz) or faster computer (dual-core 1.8ghz or faster preferred).
  • Mouse and keyboard.
  • 1024x768 screen resolution or higher.
  • 512mb RAM (1024mb or more preferred).
  • Hard drive: 1gb free space preferred.

Software

  • Windows 2000, XP, or Vista
  • MS Office 2003 and higher will allow additional functionality of reports and data downloads.
  • Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher.
  • Antivirus protection
  • Latest updates and patches must be applied. Agencies are responsible for the maintenance of their systems.

Connectivity

  • Broadband (high-speed) internet connectivity to each computer accessing VESTA.
  • Internet firewall hardware or software.

Other

  • Private and secure area for data entry work where access to the computer is limited to staff in order to prevent non-authorized personnel from viewing screen during data entry.
  • Users will be required to work from computers recognized by the system, not from home, libraries or other public locations.
  • Each user will require a VESTA digital certificate installed on the authorized VESTA computer.
  • Each user will require an authorized user name and password administered by HMIS staff.

Purchasing items for using VESTA
